Land Acknowledgement

At Remedy, we acknowledge that we are situated on the traditional territories of Treaty 6 and Treaty 7. This acknowledgment is a starting point for our commitment to engage meaningfully with Indigenous communities and respect the lands on which we live and work.

In Edmonton, we recognize that we are on Treaty 6 Territory, home to many First Nations, including the Nehiyaw (Cree), Denesuliné (Dene), Nakota Sioux (Stoney), Anishinaabe (Saulteaux), and Niitsitapi (Blackfoot), as well as the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 4.

In Calgary, we honour Treaty 7, the traditional lands of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina Nation, and the îethka Nakoda Nations (Chiniki, Bearspaw, Goodstoney), alongside the Otipemisiwak Métis Government (Districts 5 and 6).

We respect the enduring presence and contributions of Indigenous peoples in these regions and recognize that this land acknowledgment is one part of our responsibility. We commit to building and nurturing respectful relationships with these communities and supporting actions toward reconciliation, including education and awareness for our management and staff, supporting Indigenous-owned businesses and fostering workplace inclusion.
